Everest eClinic is a weight loss clinic in Connecticut in the United States. It wanted to be found more reliably by people nearby searching for weight loss help, and to look more trustworthy when they did. This is what I did and what the clinic saw.

The challenge

The clinic needed consistent local visibility, with stronger trust signals, for weight loss related searches across cities in Connecticut. Being found in one town and missing in the next is a common problem for a clinic. The searches that matter are local ones, so the clinic has to be clearly tied to its area wherever its details appear online.

What I did

The work covered five areas.

  • NAP consistency. NAP stands for name, address and phone number. NAP consistency means those details read exactly the same everywhere the clinic is listed, so Google can be confident they all belong to one real business.
  • Homepage optimisation. The homepage is usually the page a clinic’s local listing points to, so it needs to say plainly what the clinic does and where.
  • Local keyword placement. Putting the place names and service terms people actually search for into the headings, copy and metadata where they read naturally.
  • Citation building. A local citation is any mention of a business’s name, address and phone number on another site, such as a directory. Accurate citations help confirm where a business is and that it is established.
  • Mobile-focused adjustments. Most people searching for a local service do it on a phone, and Google judges sites mainly on their mobile version, so the site had to work well on a small screen.

Alongside the SEO, I also created social media posts for the clinic in Canva, with some work in Adobe Photoshop for better design quality, redesigned its social media layout, and managed and ran Google Ads campaigns to increase visibility and attract more leads.

Results

  • Top three rankings for “weight loss clinic” locally in Connecticut.
  • First-page rankings for the competitive keywords “semaglutide” and “mounjaro”.
  • Strong mobile-first reach.

What this shows

None of the work on this list is exotic. Consistent business details, a clear homepage, sensible local wording, accurate citations and a site that works on a phone are the foundations of local SEO, and they were the whole of the SEO work behind this clinic’s results. If your listings show an old phone number or a slightly different address, fix that before spending money on anything else.

One thing would change for a UK clinic. Prescription-only medicines cannot be advertised to the public in the UK, so the rules on prescription-only medicines advertising shape what a clinic can say about named treatments in its pages and ads. If you run a private clinic, my healthcare SEO page explains how I work within those rules, or you can request a free SEO audit.

Frequently asked questions

What did the local SEO work for Everest eClinic involve?

NAP consistency, homepage optimisation, local keyword placement, citation building and mobile-focused adjustments. I also created social media posts and ran Google Ads campaigns for the clinic.

What results did the clinic see?

Top three rankings for "weight loss clinic" locally in Connecticut, first-page rankings for the competitive keywords "semaglutide" and "mounjaro", and strong mobile-first reach.

Can a UK clinic use the same approach?

The local foundations carry over, because consistent details, citations and a mobile-friendly site matter in the UK too. What differs is that prescription-only medicines cannot be advertised to the public in the UK, so content and ads about named treatments need more care.
