This page brings together what clients have said about working with me. Each quote is in the client’s own words and carries the name, role and company of the person who gave it. There are only a few, and I have not padded them out.

Razu Shrestha What a testimonial can and cannot tell you
A testimonial tells you what it was like to work with me: whether I explained things in plain terms, did what we agreed and kept the work moving. It does not prove what the work produced. A client’s recollection that rankings or traffic went up is their account, not a measured figure, so I do not treat it as one.
Where results were published with the detail behind them, the work is written up in my case studies, each with the challenge, the work and the results as published. Results also depend on things outside my control, from the competition in your market to how quickly changes get made on your website. The limits of the results described on this site are set out in the disclaimer.
The quotes are shown without star ratings, and this page does not show an average score worked out from a handful of quotes.
The rules that apply to testimonials
A testimonial on a business website is a marketing claim, so the CAP Code applies to it: whoever publishes it has to be able to show that it is genuine and relates to a real person. Inviting only the customers you expect to be pleased, known as review gating, paints a picture that is better than the truth.
The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 made fake reviews, hidden incentivised reviews and misleading presentation of reviews, such as hiding the critical ones, banned practices from 6 April 2025. Those rules are aimed mainly at reviews written by consumers, and my clients are businesses, but the reason behind them applies here too: a reader should be able to trust that a review is real and has not been cherry-picked.
How to check any testimonial, mine included
Quotes on a consultant’s own website are chosen by the consultant, and that is true of this page as well. These are the checks I would make on any testimonial before relying on it.
- Look the person up. A reviewer named with a role and a company should be easy to find on LinkedIn or on the company’s own website. A UK limited company will also be on the Companies House register, which shows whether it is still trading.
- Look for detail. A genuine review usually mentions something specific: the problem, a part of the work or something that changed. A line such as “great service, highly recommended” could have been written about anyone.
- Ask when it was given. Feedback from several years ago may describe a different way of working, so it is fair to ask when a quote was written.
- Compare with independent platforms. Reviews left on Google or Trustpilot are harder for a business to curate than quotes on its own website, though they are not immune to abuse.
- Ask questions of your own. What exactly was done, what changed and how it was measured. My guide to choosing a digital marketing agency or consultant lists the rest of the questions worth asking before you sign anything.

If you have worked with me
If you are a current or former client and would like to add your feedback, reply to any email from me or send it through the contact page. A few honest lines about the problem you had, what changed and what I was like to work with help the next reader more than a long tribute. Tell me how you would like to be credited: full name, role and company, or not at all.
If you want your feedback changed or taken down, contact me and I will deal with it. How I handle your name and message, and your rights over them, are explained in the privacy policy.
Help with reviews for your own business
If you arrived here looking for help getting more Google reviews for your own business, that work sits within Google Business Profile optimisation: a short review link, a simple routine for asking every customer, and replies that the next customer will read. Google’s own policy forbids offering anything in return for a review, and asking only the customers you expect to be happy is review gating by another name.
Before you get in touch
Reviews tell you how other people found working with me. The most direct test is to see how I would approach your own website. Request a free SEO audit and I will tell you what I would fix first and why, or read more about me and how I work first.
